Greg Mudge Obituary – Greg Mudge, who opened Corktown backbone Mudgie’s Deli in 2008, died Sunday, Sept. 5. He was 46 years of age.
Companions and individual entrepreneurs shared their despondency and appreciation via web-based media over the course of the end of the week, recollecting Mudge as an apparatus of the local area who was liberal, warm and steady.
Mudge started out at Eph Mcnally’s, the past inhabitant of the structure at 1300 Porter Street where Mudgie’s is presently. Mudge assumed control over the rent after Eph’s moved to Campus Martius and opened Mudgie’s Deli in 2008.
Mudgie’s was known for its sandwiches, yearly lobster roll celebration and, as of late, open air porch. The café is shut for the occasion end of the week yet was relied upon to return Thursday.
